Moin Moin...

...That’s how you say hello in Hamburg.

Hamburg is the second largest city in Germany with a beautiful warehouse district. It is also famous for the ‘Reeperbahn’ and for a huge cultural scene. The Hamburger feeling is quite similar to the feeling when you are at the Albert Docks in Liverpool.

And that’s where I am at the moment.

I enjoy a cup of coffee in the sun. Simple things in life, which are beautiful. I love it, I love the summer and I love the sun.  And now you might wonder why I started with the strange beginning and talked about Hamburg.

Next to me are two guys from Hamburg. They don’t know that I am from Germany as well. Being able to understand other languages is amazing. Nowadays it is essential to speak other languages. It is difficult to learn them and takes a lot of patience. But it’s worth it.

When I went to school I didn’t like English but I still wanted to be able to communicate with other people from other countries and other cultures. So I moved to Chester after my A-levels and learned English. Now I still live in the UK and go to University in Liverpool.

“If you don't know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else. “

Life is beautiful, the sun is shining, and I finish my blog for today.

…And say ‘Moin Moin’ to the Germans.
